Job Summary: We’re seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Engineer who will have responsibility for analysis, design, and the deployment of future proof solutions in addition to BAU troubleshooting and resolution responsibilities. They will also work with the other Senior Project Engineers in the team in order to support and maintain the OSG Cloud Datacentre Platform. They should have strong technical and communication skills with a daily requirement to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders and deliver to the high standards expected. This role is ideal for someone who excels in fast-paced, client-centered environments and has experience managing diverse IT infrastructures for multiple clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Engineer at Outsource, your primary responsibility is to design, implement, and deliver IT infrastructure projects aligned with industry best practices. You will work with a range of technologies and solutions, including:

• Enterprise Technologies: Microsoft, VMware, Dell, FortiGate, Veeam, Hyper-V.
• Networking: Configuration and deployment of switches, firewalls, routers, storage systems, and Wi-Fi solutions.
• Virtualisation & High Availability: Implementation of clustered virtualisation solutions for high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity (BC).
• Directory Services: Management of Active Directory domains across multi-site environments.
• Microsoft 365: Administration of email, security protocols, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and productivity applications.
• Hardware Deployment: Physical installation of vendor hardware in customer server cabinets.
• Technical Support: Troubleshooting complex issues and escalating within the team when necessary.

Experience & Skills Required

We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in a senior technical delivery or operations role within an MSSP or IT services firm.
• Infrastructure Knowledge: Advanced understanding of Windows and Linux server environments, virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V), and Fortinet technologies in data centre settings.
• Certifications: Relevant technical certifications and qualifications.
• Client Engagement: Strong experience in customer relationship management.
• Project Ownership: Ability to self-manage projects, including documentation, reporting, and time tracking.
• Solution-Oriented: Skilled in identifying and recommending technical solutions tailored to customer needs.

Hybrid Working: 3 days in the Antrim office.
